Residential Solar Installation

Design, permitting, installation, and service, all managed by Icon Power.

Icon Power has installed more than 8,000 solar and battery systems across Arizona, Nevada, and Texas since 2017. One accountable team handles your design, permitting, installation, and service, so the company that quotes your system is the same company responsible for the install and the same company that answers the phone three years later.

Bringing Clean, Sustainable Power Home

Add solar to your home with no upfront cost required.

Solar lowers your monthly bill, adds equity to your home, and cuts your household's emissions. But whether it works for your home depends on your utility, your usage, and how you finance it — and in 2026, that last one matters more than it used to.

How the Federal Solar Credit Works in 2026

Who gets the 30% federal solar credit in 2026? The system's owner. With a lease or PPA, that's the leasing company, which can pass the value to you as a lower monthly payment.

New solar must be in service by December 31, 2027 to qualify. Batteries have no 2027 cutoff; the storage credit holds through 2033.

What ended on December 31, 2025 was the homeowner credit for buying a system outright. That changes which option makes sense, not whether solar works. Your utility rates didn't go down, and the sun didn't stop.

Any installer still advertising "30% off with the federal tax credit" on a purchase is quoting expired law. Ask them to put it in writing.

General information, not tax advice — consult a tax professional about your situation.

Financing

Which Option Is Right for You?

Prepaid Lease

Best for: getting federal credit value with a one-time prepaid price instead of a long monthly lease.
Prepaid purchase or finance options with $0 down available
System owned by the program partner, who claims the 30% under Section 48E and passes the value through as a lower prepaid price
One prepaid payment (or a short prepaid path) instead of 25 years of monthly lease payments
25-year power performance warranty
System service covered by the program
No tax liability required — you don’t need to claim the credit yourself

Cash

Best for: paying the least over 25 years.
Purchase outright
Lowest lifetime cost — no interest, no finance charges
Own the system, no monthly payment
25-year power performance warranty
Fastest payback and full resale value
No lender, no credit check, no finance charges

Your Utility Matters More Than Your Roof

Most homeowners don't know this, and it's the biggest variable in your math.

Under all of them, a kilowatt-hour you use directly from your panels is worth more than one you export. That's why sizing matters, and why batteries make sense in some territories and not others.

We'll tell you which utility serves you and what it actually means before you sign anything.

Arizona — APS credits exported solar at about 5.5¢/kWh for new systems, locked in for 10 years, and its time-of-use plans don't carry a demand charge. SRP's export plans credit about 3.5¢/kWh with no demand charge; its demand plans credit your solar against what you use but add a charge based on your highest hour of on-peak use. The APS–SRP boundary runs by neighborhood, not city line.

Nevada — NV Energy credits at 75% of retail. That's one of the better net metering programs in the country, and better than either of our other markets.

Texas — deregulated, with no statewide net metering. Your retail provider decides whether to offer buyback and at what rate. Two identical homes on the same street can see very different returns based purely on who they buy power from.

Do You Need a Battery?

A battery provides emergency backup during outages and helps avoid peak utility rates. Let us evaluate your home's energy profile to see if storage makes financial sense.

"Jordan and his team made the process super easy. They reconfigured some of our existing solar and they added a Tesla battery so we could maximize our utility savings. They handled all the permits... If you are on the fence about solar or a battery — schedule a meeting and they will show you the numbers. You won't regret it."

"It's unusual these days to work with someone who does great work, for a fair price and in a timely manner, but Icon Power does that and more. We needed them to install an EV charging station and couldn't be happier with the results."

"Icon Power was great to work with. Shawn and his crew were fabulous for the install. They ensured we had an install done right, the first time, and didn't have ugly silver conduit running across our roof... they worked with me and around my schedule and had us connected and ready for inspections and the PTO quickly!"
