Overview
This document provides a concise guide for understanding the status lights on your SolarEdge inverter. Monitoring these lights helps ensure your solar energy system is functioning correctly and efficiently.
For additional information, visit the official SolarEdge support page: SolarEdge LED Guide.
Status Light Indicators
The front panel of your SolarEdge inverter displays a status light with three possible colors:
Blue Light
- Indicates connectivity to the SolarEdge monitoring app.
- If the blue light is not on, the system is not connected to the monitoring platform.
Green Light
- Indicates the system is actively producing power.
- A solid green light means the system is functioning correctly.
Red Light
- Indicates a system error.
- A red light requires immediate attention and may necessitate a service visit for repair or replacement.
No Lights Visible?
If no lights are visible on the inverter, perform the following checks:
- Ensure the inverter’s twist knob is set to the “ON” position.
- Verify that the solar breaker is flipped to the “ON” position.
- For installations with multiple SolarEdge inverters, check the subpanel to confirm all associated breakers are turned on.
Ideal Operating Condition
The optimal status for your SolarEdge inverter includes:
- Solid Green Light + Blue Light
This combination indicates that the system is producing power and successfully connected to the monitoring platform. - Green Light Only (No Blue Light)
This indicates the system is producing power, but the monitoring platform is disconnected. Reconnecting to the monitoring system is recommended to track performance data effectively.
Next Steps for Troubleshooting
- If only a green light is present:
- Reconnect the system to the monitoring platform to access performance insights.
- If a red light is present:
- Contact Icon Power for a service visit.
- If no lights are present:
- Verify all power settings as outlined above.
