Quick answer
To turn on a new Enphase solar system, switch on the solar breaker in your main panel, turn the outdoor disconnect to ON, then open the Enphase combiner (IQ Controller) and make sure every breaker inside is ON. Allow up to 5 minutes for the status lights to come on and production to start.
Turning on an Enphase system takes four steps, done in order: the solar breaker, the disconnect, the Enphase combiner, and a quick check of the status lights.
| Light | What it means |
|---|---|
| Light 1 (Wi-Fi or cloud icon) | Your system is connected to the internet. |
| Light 2 (lightning bolt icon) | Your system is producing power. |
| Light 3 | Usually stays off. Installers use it for service checks. |
| Light 4 | Your microinverters are running with the correct grid settings. |
Allow up to 5 minutes for all lights to turn on and for power production to begin.
Our service team supports Icon Power systems and solar systems whose original installer is no longer around.
