Registering Your Powerwall
To complete installation of your Powerwall, you must register it to your Tesla Account and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. To begin registration, download the Tesla app on your phone and sign in with your Tesla Account. If you already own other Tesla vehicle or energy products, register your Powerwall using the same email address.

2. Add Powerwall 3
- Tap ‘Add Product’ > ‘Powerwall’ and select ‘Powerwall 3.’

3. Locate and Toggle the Switch
- Open the toggle switch cover on your Powerwall 3. After two seconds, the prompt ‘Found Toggle Switch’ should appear. Select it once you locate the switch.

4. Enable Bluetooth Pairing
- When requested, tap ‘Pair’ to enable Bluetooth between your phone and the Powerwall 3.

5. Toggle Switch On and Off
- After pairing, toggle the Powerwall 3 switch off and back on. Tap ‘Toggled Switch.’

- If the issue persists, contact Tesla Customer Support.
If you receive the message: Product already registered
- Check if the device is already registered to another user.
- Contact Tesla Customer Support for registration assistance.
Enabling Remote Servicing
Tesla Powerwall systems now offer a “Remote Servicing” option, allowing Tesla or Icon Power to diagnose system issues remotely. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
- 1. From the home screen, open the Settings menu.
- 2. Tap Manage Access.
- 3. Toggle Mobile Service Access to enable remote diagnostics.
Once enabled, Tesla or Icon Power can access your system, and a Service Mode banner will appear on the energy home screen. This mode automatically turns off after 30 days unless manually disabled.
